The Best 3 Romantic Restaurants in Edinburgh ... because ..."one cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well." ― Virginia Woolf
When love is in the air and you’re faced with full days of work it is nice to make time for you and your loved one, to dine out. We put aside days to go away on trips, walks, go to the cinema and dine out. It’s important, and …it’s fun. It’s different from having a takeaway or cooking.
Here are the 3 best romantic restaurants in Edinburgh, in our view.
Forage & Chatter
Tucked away in the West End, Forage & Chatter is probably one of the places we enjoy the most. We both like fairly understated locations that hide beautiful food and a lovely atmosphere.
The dishes are absolutely superb. Keep in mind this restaurant does not have a chef with a Michelin star but once you’ve eaten there you realise it is a fine dining experience that should not be missed.
FORAGE & CHATTER Address: 1A Alva St, Edinburgh EH2 4PH Phone: 0131 225 4599
The Kitchin is a Michelin star restaurant located on Edinburgh’s Leith waterfront. Opened in 2006, the restaurant was awarded a Michelin star in 2007.
Tom Kitchin’s food philosophy is ‘From Nature to Plate’ and you can see this in his dishes. The food is absolutely fantastic.
Guests receive a small map for the origins of the products and a copy of the menu – for dishes they have chosen- to take away.
